Can Birds Eat Acai

Yes birds can eat Acai, It's rich in Vitamin A. It also has traces of iron and potassium which helps to maintain the iron content in the bird’s body. Can Birds Eat Acorns?

No birds should not eat Acorns , This is because acorns contain Tannin, which is a low grade toxin. However opinions differ on whether acorns should be fed to birds or not, since it has been noticed that wild or larger birds do not experience any negative effect of the toxin after consumption. However it will be safe to say that it's better to avoid giving it to birds all together because the effects may be irreversible once it becomes evident.

Can Birds Eat Acorn Squash

Birds can eat acorn squash under  certain conditions. Birds should not eat corn squash unless the squash is cooked by way of leaching. If leached properly, it will effectively draw out the tannin which usually acts as an anti nutrient which reduces the birds ability to absorb nutrients. The squash will be left with protein which is actually high in acorns.  

Can Birds Eat Acorn Squash Seeds 

No birds should not eat Acorn squash seeds. Now wild birds are likely to eat it and remain just fine with no toxic effects on their system, but it is not a safe option especially for pet birds that are usually kept in the cage , since their immune system may not be equipped to deal with the amount of Tannin in the acorn squash seeds.

Can Birds Eat Agave 

It's not safe to eat raw agave. The sap of most agave species are toxic. The sap from the leaves can cause the following toxic signs like oral mucus irritation, burning sensation in the skin, redness of the skin caused by erythema. With all this baggage, it requires cooking prior to ingestion, before it can be deemed safe.

Birds can eat Alfalfa seeds. The Alfalfa seed is fiber rich and helps the bird's body control blood sugar levels by slowing the speed with which it absorbs sugar, it contains Vit k, Copper , Folate and magnesium. It also contains saponins which also slows the absorption of cholesterol in the intestines.
